Droid 2 commercial reveals the dirty details: 1GHz processor is a go! Droid X gets some goods too…

And just like that, my Droid (overclocked no less) is feeling a little less exhilarating to hold in my hand thanks to a fury of new Droid 2 and Droid X information. With that, Droid-Life managed to snag some material on a new Droid 2 commercial that goes into the device hardware just a tad, coming away with the best news I’ve heard concerning the D2 yet — the 1GHz processor! Previously it had been up in the air, floating back and forth between 7xxMHz and 1GHz. But now we know for sure.

The voice over from the Droid 2 commercial goes something like:

‘Does’ used to do a lot. Now it does even more. Now it does Email Exchange, so you can be hooked up to everything thing you need to do. Now it does 1.0GHz speed on a sleeker, more intuitive keyboard. It does and does and does. And the only thing it doesn’t do is ask for time off.

The Droid 2 isn’t the only one that’s going to receive boasting over. Hop inside for two more commercial highlights featuring the Droid X…

Droid X Commerical #1…

Commercial #1 for the Droid X focuses on it’s large, vibrant 4.3″ display and highlights an NFL app that will reportedly allow life NFL viewing. Not a bad idea, we’ll see how it plays out.

Droid X Commercial #2…

Commercial #2 takes a slightly different approach, instead talking more about the new “Media Mogul” app coming standard on the Droid X that aims to turn said device into a media center-like remote for “every multimedia device in your house”. Definitely some bold claims, though I’m willing to give it my undivided.

What is everyone’s favorite out there in interweb land? The Droid 2′s ultra-fast 1GHz processor and larger, improved keyboard or the Droid X’s larger than life 4.3″ display and media-centric abilities? Look for the commercials to debut next month on a TV near you.

You konw the drill. Drop a line below…

I wanted the iPhone 4 so bad.

But I have an upgrade waiting for my oh-so-amazing EnV 2. And I’ll have an upgrade next year as well. So even if these phones aren’t for me, if Apple decides to put the iphone on Verizon, maybe I’ll jump over there.

And if it’s not on verizon by 2012, then i have no idea. i guess, droid it is!

I don’t know…the iPhone 4′s retina display is pretty sharp. But the Droid 2 with 1GHz proc and better keyboard has won me over.
