“PalmPad” Trademark Rejected By USPTO.

The wait for the “PalmPad” will be a lengthy one. The USPTO has officially denied the trademark claim by HP. Apparently, it will create too much confusion with already trademarked products on the market — Palm OS, Palm Pre, Palm, and Palm webOS. That would certainly explain the rash of trademark filings by HP as of late. Looks like someone forgot to get all their i’s and t’s taken care of concerning the HP/Palm buyout and alerting the proper channels so things like this don’t happen.
