The recently shown off Sense UI and accompanying claims by HTC that only newer hardware was capable of the full experience have already been debunked. Like we said, the dev community will step forward to make sure Sense UI 3.0 makes it’s way backwards in time on many of the current HTC Android devices.

The first legacy device to receive such attention is the Desire HD. Built off of the also recently leaked HTC Sensation ROM, the RCMixHD rom actually runs rather nicely on the Desire HD hardware overall, though several fairly large bugs still loom. The camera, Friendstream widget, and SRS sound effects are some of the bigger issues currently on the “do not work” list. But as always, give the XDA community a few days and all will be sorted out.

In the meantime, hit up the thread at XDA and get yourselves caught up…
