Man To Ship Self Across Country In Box To Study PTSD.

How far would you go to study a particular ailment such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)? For most “normal” people it would involve a series of office and hospital visits. But for one Knob, Arkansas native by the name of Jordan Wayne Long, the traditional PTSD study is about to be launched to a new level of cool/crazy by shipping himself across the country locked in a wooden crate…

Starting July 1st and running through July 7th, Jordan will tweet and blog about his cross-country trip via a specially constructed crate via his friend’s truck complete with only a computer and some bare essentials such as food scraps (and we hope a pot for other non-gaming “duties”). Yes, you read that right — Jordan is shipping himself from Knob, Arkansas to Portland, Oregon. He won’t come out and no one will go inside for the entirety of the trip.

Our interest is already piqued. If you are finding yourself walking down the same path, bookmark Jordan’s Twitter account (@JordanWayneLong) and personal blog (JordanWayneLong.com) to keep up to date on the whole ordeal as he will continuously update both portals as well as a blog specifically created for his Lord of the Rings Online character.

While some may dispute the efficiency of such a study, you have to admit it’s at least interesting, no?
