Jailbreak Hack: Run Two Apps Simultaneously On iPad.

  • June 30, 2011 1:00 pm

Having to fire up a non-iPad supporting app on that vivid 9.7″ display is pretty disheartening. The centered app and/or bloated dimensions featuring the same amount of pixels makes for a rather crappy experience. While there’s not much you can do in regards to clarity and upsizing, one talented developer by the name of Aaron Ash has created a unique multi-app jailbreak hack.

As the image above implies, Aaron has managed to get two apps running simultaneously. Understandably, the app is buggy — audio and the accelerometer neither work. Nonetheless, as a proof-of-concept it’s quite stunning. Two games would be pretty useless played side by side. But what about a map/navigation and browser about local shops tag teaming your eyes, eh? Sounds like there’s some potential to be had.

ETA is still unknown, though Aaron does say it will be “at least a couple of months”. What apps would you run side by side?
