25 Years Of The Legend Of Zelda Golden Cartridge

Today marks the memorable spot of The Legend of Zelda released as a golden beauty that we would find ourselves blowing into every time we loaded the game. If you were alive 20-some-odd years ago, you’ll probably remember having to blow into your games just to get them to play. This holds true today, I have to blow into every Nintendo cartridge I pop into my NES just to get it to play.

One of the most amazing and popular NES games to ever be released was The Legend of Zelda in 1986 marked one of the most amazing game releases in history. Only 1 or so years later were we given a golden cartridge that marked history with games draped in golden love. Instead of the gray cartridges that always had our breath blown into them up until this date, we finally had something gorgeous to waste our breath into.

26 years later marks the Zelda campaign, 25 gives us a golden avenue. No mater ho old you are, you know Zelda and Link are some of the most incredible gaming experiences you’ll ever have. Zelda holds a special place in my heart as I have a gold cartridge that usually sits in my Nintendo Entertainment System, so today not only makes me happy, but makes me feel incredibly old.

25 years later, do any of you readers still rock an NES and play the Legend of Zelda? Gold or not, Link rocked it at saving the ladies, between him and Mario, shilvery is not dead.
