Samsung’s Mid-Range “Premier” Gets Official

The Galaxy S III and Note II are no doubt the top two devices Samsung currently makes. But if they’re a little too much for you (in size or $$$) the Android dominator has something else up its sleeve: the Galaxy Premier.

The Galaxy Premier is Samsung’s mid-range offering which features the same (size anyway) 4.65-inch 720 x 1280 HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage + expansion via microSD card. ‘Round back you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera while up front Samsung has tacked on a 1.9-megapixel camera. In terms of software, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean is the standard build from the factory (and, we’d assume, a path to Jelly Bean 4.2 at some point).

The once-thought Nexus device has now materialized into a mid-range device bearing essentially the same parts as the Galaxy Nexus, once again showing just how fast the mobile world moves. What is hot today is luke warm tomorrow.

Get your Galaxy Premier sometime in November for $679 USD.
