Apple Announces 21.5-Inch iMacs Shipping November 30th, 27-Inch Still On Schedule For December.

After a solid month of waiting, Apple’s brand new iMacs finally have a more concrete launch date to prep for - November 30th.

Apple made the announcement today following a month of constant questioning from the tech community, which when combined with the now joke-like iTunes delay, made many believe the iMacs were facing the same fate. Adding to delay rumors’ credit, Apple CEO Tim Cook even stated himself that due to manufacturing hurdles, the new iMacs were going to be in short supply this holiday season.

Starting November 30th, interested parties can load up their shopping cart with the 21.5-inch iMac which even in stock config ($1299) is plenty powerful for most thanks to the 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 (with boost speeds up to 3.2 GHz), Nvidia GeFore GT 640M and various amounts of RAM, not to mention a handful of storage options including Apple’s hardware/software optimized “Fusion Drive”.

So what about that 27-inch model that many of you are aching for? Keep waiting. For now, Apple is still listing an unspecific “December” for the smaller iMac’s big brother.
