Galaxy S III Blessed With New CyanogenMod Android 4.2.1 ROM.

Android 4.2.1 is the latest and greatest release from Google. Sadly, most phones will be calling it quits at Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich with few getting 4.1 and even fewer getting 4.2.

But alas, there is hope for non-Nexus hardware in the form of custom ROMs. Today, popular custom ROM outfit, Cyanogenmod has posted a screenshot showing their latest creation, an Android 4.2.1 custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III.

Again, the move from 4.2 to 4.2.1 is pretty minor. One very important fix, however, is the re-establishment of the month of December in the Android calendar – something Google oddly overlooked in the last update.

It’s also important to note that this build isn’t yet “final”. Still, for most of the Android enthusiasts out there, minor bumps in the road here and there are to be expected. Get downloading!
