    Posted May 6th, 2009 at 5:22 am
*Not the Xperia X2, 3, 4, or 5* If Sony's Xperia X1 was your pride and joy, I have some bittersweet news for you.  That phone you love so dearly is now soon to be outdated.  Bummer, I know.  But that's how it is in the tech/gadget world.  Besides the slip a few days ago from Skyhook's Ted Morgan, information regarding Sony's next to succeed the X1 is now known thanks to Harold de Kort, the Sony Ericsson Marketing Communications Manager for Benelux.  It seems as if Mr. Kort made a comment...

  • Blackberry 8900 landing on AT&T May 25th? [Rumor]
    by Mike
    Posted May 5th, 2009 at 2:22 pm
Earlier this week, Boy Genius reported that some insiders were claiming the 8900 was coming to AT&T sometime this June. A day later AT&T followed with the same comment cementing the 8900's future in AT&T's near future. Well, it seems as if the boys in blue sure aren't wasting any time with their latest Blackberry release. According to another BG tipster, the 8900 will just manage to make it by the end of May - May 25th to be exact. Rumored pricing, claimed to be $149, is pre...
  • Palm Pre too big and ugly for ya…how about a Mini-Pre?
    by Mike
    Posted April 30th, 2009 at 3:53 am
The Palm Pre hasn't even been released yet, however that isn't stopping Palm from grabbing the cellphone market by the horns and trying to own the market like they used to.  While rumors of a smaller "iPhone nano" have been persistent on the web, nothing has materialized either physically, or in writing.  Many even suspect that Apple doesn't want to have a stratified line up of phones.  Palm on the other hand isn't taking the slow road wit their new webOS powered devices and is now rumore...
  • Microsoft finally jumping head first into smartphone market with phone of their own?
    by Mike
    Posted April 28th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
The iPhone has enjoyed complete dominance in the younger crowd because of its tight integration with a music download service (iTunes), a very successful App Store, and a UI and device functionality that many manufacturers still have some time before they catch up on. Since the dawn of the iPhone, Microsoft has been included in many rumors telling of an impending Microsoft/Zune phone. Time and time again, Microsoft has countered that they are a software business and leave the hardware desgin...
  • Nintendo to bring DSi phone service to market?
    by Mike
    Posted April 14th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
It seems as if "leaking" company information or having loose lips is the "new thing" these days as lately it seems as if various product leaks have been victims of the previously mentioned loose lips.  The latest tech/gadget company to possibly let slip future goods: Nintendo, compliments of the surpreme leader, Satoru Iwata.  So what did they potentially reveal?  How does a DSi phone service sound?   (more...)...
  • Circuit City rising from the dead?
    by Mike
    Posted April 7th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Don't they know when to throw in the towel and just give up already?  According to Circuit City's website, the website will "relaunch/reopen" in the coming weeks.  Is Circuit City regrouping to become an online mecca?  Or is it a pathetic attempt by the remaing few that will ultimately end in utter failure...again?  Sorry to all of the 30,000 employees who lost their jobs as you still won't be getting anything in return except a bitter taste in your mouth about the company you used to wo...
  • Blackberry Storm Part Deux: Coming with WiFi…in September? [Rumor]
    by Mike
    Posted April 6th, 2009 at 4:11 pm
When the original Blackberry Storm was leaked, the Crackberry nation was in a flurry. The consumer minded Berry users were praising RIM for finally bringing them something to shut up those darn iPhone users. Almost immediately, the Storm began being criticized for its lack of WiFi. However, being a Verizon exclusive, the lack of WiFi was hardly a new occurance. Though many argued that a such a device being designed and soon afterward marketed so strongly towards the consumer market was b...
  • Blackberry 9910 sneeking around the web?
    by Mike
    Posted April 1st, 2009 at 5:10 pm
If you know Spanish and have a fetish for Blackberry devices, check out this post on a Venezuelan BlackBerry blog, Zona Blackberry, as they have a metrics report showing a mysterious Blackberry device snooping around and toting OS 5.0.03.  Don't jump the gun and start taking money out of your retirement fund just yet.  Browser metric reports aren't 100% accurate, mistakes happen.  However, a 9900 model has been talked about before so it isn't a "secret" per say... (more...)...
  • Apple’s rumored “Netbook” and next gen iPhone/iPod Touch to use LG OLED’s?
    by Mike
    Posted March 19th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Take this with a couple of grains of salt for now, but sources from LG in Korea are "confirming" that Apple will be releasing a netbook(s), new iPhone, and new iPod Touch that will use a new OLED display produced by LG themselves.  A jump to OLED would be a pretty hefty jump bringing even better image quality than the current iPhone/iPod Touch screen offers as well as drastically reducing battery life.  Another interesting tid bit is that these new OLED displays will supposedly have a spec...
  • Apple refreshing iMacs, Mac Pros, and Mac Mini…tomorrow?
    by Mike
    Posted March 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Chalk this up there as a big 'ol rumor.  This evening a flurry of activity is making its way around the digital world concerning Apple's pretty much known refreshes for their iMacs, Mac Pros, and Mac Minis.  The date that's has been rumored so far is March 24th.  However someone let slip tomorrow as the day of reckoning and now Mac fanboys everywhere are pouncing.  While I would greatly appreciate tomorrow as a nice surprise, I don't think tomorrow is a very plausible date.  For one, ...
