  • Droid 2 commercial reveals the dirty details: 1GHz processor is a go! Droid X gets some goods too…

And just like that, my Droid (overclocked no less) is feeling a little less exhilarating to hold in my hand thanks to a fury of new Droid 2 and Droid X information. With that, Droid-Life managed to snag some material on a new Droid 2 commercial that goes into the device hardware just a tad, coming away with the best news I've heard concerning the D2 yet -- the 1GHz processor! Previously it had been up in the air, floating back and forth between 7xxMHz and 1GHz. But now we know for sure. Th...

    Posted June 14th, 2010 at 12:48 pm
Popular multi-messaging and VoIP app "Nimbuzz" has just received a fresh update to 2.0 status. Besides a new set of numbers, Nimbuzz for iPhone 2.0 is said to include faster loading times/network reconnects, a freshened UI, and the new "NimbuzzOut" which allows users to dial out to international mobile phone and landline numbers on the cheap). I'm all for a good deal when calling abroad. (Now if only I had someone abroad to call....) Nimbuzz 2.0 for iPhone is now avaiable in the App ...
  • T-Mo loves you: Android/BlackBerry buyers to receive “app guides” and “insider guides” with new Android/BlackBerry purchases..

You know, I've always been a fan of T-Mobile. Their network may not be the greatest. But where I live, it's certainly at least up to AT&T; standards. Furthermore, they're cheaper. And, their CS is competent. Which is better than what I could say about two other carriers customer service departments I've had to deal with. As if I didn't love T-Mo enough, leaked images of official promo material for a blow-out Father's Day sale began circulating yesterday. But again -- that was yesterday. T...

With that said, who wouldn't like to win one of three iPads Waze is giving away to users who simply collect the most points by driving around. Yup, simply driving around can net you a shiny new iPad. The new contest being held by Waze is in support of the World Cup and features all new Soccer Ball "road goodies". Over 100 countries will be able...

As I was sifting through the growing pile of apps that is becoming the Android Market, I stumbled upon one exciting newcomer. For those of you familiar with Beautiful Widgets (the original HTC Sense widget look-alike), you're going to love Beautiful Live Wallpaper. Building off the newer, redesigned widgets, Beautiful Live Widgets brings all the slick looking weather goodness directly to your home screen by way of live wallpapers. (more...)...
  • Bitbop to become “Hulu for mobiles”?
    by Mike
    Posted May 26th, 2010 at 10:12 pm
Hulu is currently on a war path of sorts, with it's content owners closing up holes, cramming in advertisements and effectively killing all the reasons consumers loved the service in the first place. Even worse is the fact that those same content owners (motivated by greed of course) are butchering Hulu's transgression to mobiles. Bad for them, good for us. Where Hulu is letting us mobile users down, Fox's new "Bitbop" will pick up the slack... (more...)...
  • Holiday Inn testing smartphone room keys.
    by Mike
    Posted May 25th, 2010 at 7:02 pm
Say goodbye to the old days of carrying around yet another piece of plastic while staying at your local Holiday Inn. Room keys will soon be a thing of the past. This concept isn't hard to believe really. As technology and electronics evolve, it was only a matter of time before something better came along. I don't exactly know what I was thinking of as far as "high tech" room keys go. But the solution coming forth from Holiday Inn is pretty neat. Instead of any type of "card", users can l...
  • iPod Touch w/ 2 megapixel camera blows it’s cover.
    by Mike
    Posted May 19th, 2010 at 9:14 am
Boy oh boy, I bet el Jobso is getting pissed. First it was his baby, the iPhone's 4th rendition and now this, the next gen iPod Touch complete with 2 megapixel camera. One interesting tidbit is that of the serial number. IT originates from late-2009 meaning it could be one of those infamous 3rd gen units that was leaked on eBay and never made it to see the light of day. Other than that, the usual diagnostic software and geeky curiosity surround this leaked device. Think we're lookin...
  • iPhone 4.0 beta spills the beans, tethering coming…for real?
    by Mike
    Posted May 18th, 2010 at 10:08 pm
And there you have it folks. The latest iPhone 4.0 beta software with tethering conveniently stuffed in. Unfortunately, AT&T; will charge you twice if you do so choose to go the tethering route, double dippin' all the way to the bank. For the majority of tech savvy iPhone users whom have had tethering unlocked for months, this isn't news... (more...)...
