  • To protect your iPhone, or not to protect your iPhone - Obviously not protect!

Is it iPhone case fail day today? I think it might be. We can either have our iPhone look like a rock, or we can have what I'd only assume RoboCop would use. Hong Kong retailer, 'JOYCE, has released a new line of designer-created iPhone cases, now, I am only posting about the rock case, but the rest of em aren't that pretty, but they make a hell of a lot more sense than a Rock Hide-a-key! Come on people, with all that China bans and keeps from the people, you think they wouldn't allow cra...
  • iPad gains a new companion with “The iMaxi” (case)

You knew it was going to happen. Someone was going to play on the worst device name in history -- the iPad. And like clockwork, the iMaxi (Case) has been made known. Featuring a soft cottony interior to keep it nice and shiny with a more durable nylon exterior to fend of moisture and dirt, the iMaxi is actually a quite functional case for your iPad. The most clever part however is the integrated wings and wrap around the unit and keep it contained within it's hallowed sarcophagus. It do...
  • The Terminator Edition iPhone Case Mod.

Of the few faults I have with the iPhone, the back casing really isn't one of them. It's designed well and does it's job. What more could you ask for? For some, the move to plastic casings after the first gen iPhone was done largely to (1) reduce cost and (2) increase reception to the more cellular loving characteristics of plastic over metals. Understandably, some want the added reception of plastic and the sleek, sturdy look of metal. Solution: Titanium alloy. You see, Titanium alloy i...
  • Bathe your iPod in soft cotton, plastic, and LED lighting.

The iPod by far has the largest selection of accessories of any major gadget. Anything from simple silicon cases to little "iPad Beanbag chairs" show that the whole accessory market has gotten out of control. Out of control in the sense that more and more accessories are being pumped out, with few of the multitude of accessories actually being any good. Besides, if you're going to go cheap, why not just build you own case? The fine folks at Instructables have a nifty little how-to on making...
  • No, it wasn’t that last taco: The PS3 Alien Case Mod

The thing with computers or in this case, intelligent gaming consoles, is that at times they tend to develop a mind of their own. You push this button and "it" does something else. Usually we chalk it up to some software glitch. Such assumptions are wrong however as the real problem is something much more sinister and foreign. As this PS3 Alien Case mod shows us, the reason for any glitches can be blamed on the creature residing inside. Designed by GivinTats, the Alien Case is a thing of ...
  • Allspark Xbox 360 mod — Gamer tested, Pharaoh approved.

Because the world isn't already chock full of custom 360 cases... Aw hell, who am I kidding? This "Allspark" Xbox 360 modded case designed and created by Flickr user givintats is just plane awesome wouldn't you say? The skeleton consists of plywood with carved and molded clay on top. Add a nice coating of chrome and you wind up with the gleaming box of archaeological awesomeness sitting before your very eyes. As for the inner glow, owners of such a 'box can switch between blue or red. ...
  • [CES] MinWin: Computer hardware, military grade 2.5″ external hard drive.

In the world of high end gaming and custom rigs, the general public always sees the higher-end Dell, Gateway, Asus, Alienware, etc. A rather unknown yet experienced custom computer manufacturer, "MinWin", has quite the collection of gadgets to entice. The first juicy tidbit is their military grade 2.5" USB 2.0 external hard drive. With USB 3.0 now on the verge of going mainstream, why go 2.0? Well, this particular USB 2.0 drive features shock protection -- up to 200 meters. Yes that's...
  • Millennium Falcon memorabilia taking over the bedroom. Sleep quarters first to go, Xbox closely follows…or Xbox…

The Millennium Falcon Bed may have been the talk of the town yesterday, but even a mere 24 hours into the past can now be considered old, washed up news. You needn't worry however as there is plenty to talk about today. The bed mentioned above is a novel idea however, not everyone wants to or likes to spend too much time sleeping. You know what they say -- plenty of time to sleep when you're dead...right? Anyway, instead of a modded bed, how about another modded Xbox? Why December is becomi...
  • Dress up your iPhone for Halloween
    by Mike
    Posted August 31st, 2009 at 8:02 am
I know that talking about customes, ghost, and gouls is a tad early on my part as Halloween is still a good two months away, but in the name of gadgetry and geekiness, I press on. If you have felt bad for your naked or undressed iPhone for the last couple of Halloween's, a new case that resembles a creature a little less than holy will surely do the trick. Introducing the Demon iPhone case: available in blue, yellow, white, green, and purple plus sporting a creepy demonic face on the back ...
  • Amzer’s 3800 mAh battery ensures multi-day usage, turns Pre into terminally ill patient
    by Mike
    Posted August 10th, 2009 at 8:56 am
I am what one would call a "power user". I use my smartphones' features, whatever phone it may be, to the fullest extent. Often times charging my phone 2 or 3 times a day is not unheard of as battery makers/technology has fallen grossly behind the features and performance that are being demanded form these little energy cells. Palm Pre users who were unhappy with the Pre's stock run time have had several options to choose from so far. One of those third party options provided by Amzer gave...
