    If you've spent any amount of time here, you probably already know that I'm an Android junkie. In fact, I'd even say that I love the Android platform. I'm a huge tinkerer and tweaker. The beauty of Android is it is a modern tweakers dream -- the customization features of Windows Mobile with added style and features that are a mash up of BlackBerry, webOS, and even the iPhone. Being such a geek at heart means I'm always checking DROID forums looking for new apps, services, ROM's, themes, etc....

    While the last couple days have been full of Android home brew drama centering around Cyanogen and the smackdown Google's law department were set to hurl at him, it appears as if we can all breathe a sigh of relief. While the worst case scenario had Cyanogen completely shut down, we can all be thankful that he and Google came to a rather peaceful though ultimately ridiculous solution -- from here on out, Cyanogen mods will be bare bones.     Android has been looking more and more tempting as of late over my iPhone as AT&T; and Apple continue to restrict more and more content (read: users' rights) and make the iPhone less and less relevant.
