  • Make Windows 7 look sorta like KDE’s twin with “KDE Se7en Patcher”

Customizers and those of you driven by the never ending need to constantly change the look of your PC have a new toy to play around with. While KDE is a pretty slick looking skin/theme for Linux, the fact that it is Linux only is what keeps many people from ever enjoying it. Many simply don't feel they have the time or knowledge to learn the OS or deal with the incompatibilities that can arise. There is a solution however in KDE Se7en Patcher for Windows 7. Said patch will give Windows 7 t...
  • N64 Laptop ensures hours of retro gaming on the fly
    by Mike
    Posted August 10th, 2009 at 10:55 am
Sure there have been various consoles parted and stuffed into cases of different sizes. But the coolest one to cross my attention so far is the N64 laptop. Stuffed inside of a PS3 carrying case, the N64 mod brings retro gaming to gamers on the move. While the mod pictured is a bit crude and unrefined, the unit apparently does the intended purpose of giving the creators the added benefit and ease of N64 gaming wherever they please. Not to mention, the game in the picture is one of my favori...
  • Android gets a new face thanks to Palm Pre ROM + Theme
    by Mike
    Posted August 6th, 2009 at 11:37 am
Skinning, theming, customization, call it whatever you want, techies love this sort of thing. Now not every techie gets tired of the same UI after 5 minutes, though I must admit I do. I love changing up the themes/skin on whatever gadget I am currently using as it brings a sense of newness to an otherwise old gadget. Sort of a second breath of fresh if you will. Android users can take note that a new theme, ROM + Theme is a great reincarnation of the Palm Pre interface created just for you...
  • BlackBerry Theme: Opus
    by Mike
    Posted August 4th, 2009 at 9:45 am
If bright and flash themes aren't quite your forte, the Opus BlackBerry theme newly released by Elecite, one of the best BlackBerry theme sites around, you're in for quite a treat. Featuring 8 icons on the home screen (top 4 fixed, bottom 4 user customizable) as well as a today area, this theme is rather robust. On newer models, ie: 83xx and 88xx models excluded, there are 2-3 dots that you can select that will take you to another screen of new icons -- much the same the iPhone or Android OS...

Following the post below about the new Snow Leopard theme for BlackBerry, those of you who sing to the tune of a different song, in this case a more Windowy sort of song, a theme by the name of HTC Diamond may be right up your digital alley. Featuring styling cues and a pretty face just like the HTC Diamond, this theme will give your Berry an overall darker yet professional look that will certainly set it apart from the rest. The basic gist of the HTC Diamond theme is the 5 fixed icon dock ...
  • Snow Leopard theme for BlackBerry
    by Mike
    Posted July 30th, 2009 at 9:37 am
While Snow Leopard is visually pretty much identical to Leopard, it would seem that BlackBerry themes marketed as "Snow Leopard" themes wouldn't be worth the money since you Leopard themes are a dime a dozen. That would mainly be true unless you were talking about amusic's theme titled "Snow Leopard. Featuring a fit and finish that is honestly the best yet of any Apple clone theme. With glassy shine all over coupled with the nicely re-created Snow Leopard UI means this theme will bring a si...
  • Dress up your Xbox 360 with a house of colors
    by Mike
    Posted July 29th, 2009 at 6:46 am
The Xbox 360 is a pretty decent looking piece of tech. Though the white box look isn't for everyone. Some users may want more color or more flash for their visually driven lives. If that be the case, XCM has something you sweet eyed gamers may want to consider: their XCM Black Light Case. As the name and pictures imply, the Black Light Case adds a splash of color to your device by way of colored LED's and a transparent window so you can see the light and your 360's innards melting after ho...

Even though Apple designs some pretty cool UI elements and environments, their taste isn't always your taste. Thankfully end users have many options in changing up their desktop and UI elements to suit their needs and keep themselves in the happy camper group for most of their lives. For those of you who like pretty pictures and are anxiously awaiting the up and coming OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard release, a Snow Leopard beta tester has graciously uploaded the entire set of new Snow Leopard wallpa...
  • Go old school with the TV Bag
    by Mike
    Posted July 17th, 2009 at 6:00 am
Forget practicality and convenience, this one off custom purse/bag will look stylish, set yourself apart from the rest of civilization as a geek, and manage to not break the bank. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for your back. This old battle worn Sony TV has gained a new lease on life. Instead of spending the next millennium sitting in some dump leeching toxins into the ground, this TV will instead come back to life as a very handy, very loved bag. I would imagine such a bag can't b...
  • TPExpert: A classy split screen style theme for the masses
    by Mike
    Posted July 13th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Hedone Design is back with another eye buster: TPXpert. The latest theme to come from the theming powerhouse is a sweet today plus-esque theme for all newer BlackBerry models. Some may not like the split screen style themes, but I find that if designed and executed correctly can actually be pretty functional and cool. I like on TPXpert how when you slide to the right for the calendar, the box on the right fills up with calendar entries. That is just one of the subtle touches that really ma...

It is true, OS X inspired themes are becoming quite common, almost to the point of too common in that people just might be starting to get tired of them. No matter how tired you may be, or how saturated the market of OS X BlackBerry themes may be, the latest from EThemes is nothing short of beautiful. osXHD is a wonderfully crafted representation of Leopard for your BlackBerry. This theme isn't all just looks however. It features a user customizable 5 icon hidden dock that features a nifty...
