  • Nexus One multi-touch issues coming to light
    by Mike
    Posted March 3rd, 2010 at 8:17 am
Is it just me or is the Nexus One becoming more problem prone? The latest issue surrounding the uber Android device has to do with multi-touch, more specifically when two screen inputs are extremely close together the points are flipped. Such occurrences obviously happen quite frequently as the only way to type on the N1 is via the on-screen keyboard. So how do we fix it? Well, we may not be able to outside of a large scale recall. According to Google engineer Diane Hackborn, it's not the...
  • Verizon Wireless having network problems? [Update 2]

Update 2: By now, everyone should be back up. If not, well, hit up VZW customer service. Apparently the issue was relegated to the east coast, not national. Are you back up? Update: Is "the network" back up? I have some emails flowing in again and a 3G icon has reappeared on my DROID. Anyone else? As far as I've seen, no official reason for the outage has been given yet. Wondering why you can't access those early morning articles, Twitter updates, and other data related tasks on yo...
  • Playstation Network and consoles inoperable, rich people cry [Update]

**Update: According to Sony's blog DON'T use your PS3 until Sony says otherwise. Quite a bug we have here, isn't it? **Update #2: It seems Sony has fixed the bug, it seems that users might have lost their trophies, but our friends over at Joystick have a Q&A on what to do. Anyone here happen to be playing some marginally popular PS3 game yesterday just to have the Playstation Network up and die on you? After the rage subsided, did you happen to notice even offline play not working? ...
  • US skier Jake Zamansky bashes NBC’s god awful coverage. Critical tweets automatically displayed on NBC Olympics website. NBC responds by censoring Jake’s athlete Twitter account.

You know, with each passing day of not being able to see the Olympics live either how I want on TV or god forbid, stream anything worthwhile, it becomes more and more clear -- NBC flat out sucks as a network. Earlier this year they handled the whole Tonight Show/Jay Leno/Conan Obrian fiasco in a less than stellar manner and now they are in the process of making this one of the worst Olympics yet. To say coverage is terrible is a gross understatement. The blatant tape delays until prime time a...
  • Operation Chokehold going down 12pm (PST) this Friday, December 18th.

Sick of AT&T;'s wasted dollars spent on stupid advertisements, constant complaints on poor network performance being blamed on "faulty hardware", and voicing attempts to "educate customers"? You're not alone. Granted most of the iPhone toting crowd will never stumble upon any tech blog, those who do can at least take action. "Operation Chokehold" was coined by the "Fake Steve" (aka Dan Lyons) to highlight AT&T;'s utter failure in the mobile sphere. The requirements are simple: This Friday, De...
  • AT&T hates the truth, democracy, and their customers. Communist flag waves high and proud.

Anyone with even the smallest smidgen of knowledge into the tech realm knows how corrupt AT&T; is. They lie, falsely advertise, and contort the truth for their own benefit. Such accusations and characteristics aren't much different from most American businesses but the lengths at which AT&T; goes as well as their blatant and obvious hypocrisy is downright shameful and disgusting. Without further procrastination, I bring you AT&T;: The consumer hating, money driven, lets kill everything that even...
  • RIM sponsoring U2’s 2010 North American Tour.

Apparently things went well with the last co-op between U2 and RIM because as they did this past year, RIM will again be the title sponsor for U2's 2010 North American tour. Taking on such a challenge is not for the faint of heart or light of wallet. Copious amounts of time, energy, and money are needed to put on such shows and tours. I applaud RIM for reaching out into the consumer space and trying to be "consumer cool". Now, let's just hope they do a better job than this past year's (2009...
