  • A few cheap, geeky laughs courtesy of I’m on a boat Mac.

Parodies of any type are fun to watch and/or listen to. I'm a completely joker at heart so a little humor at someone or some other corporation's expense is always fine in my book. So I of course had a few chuckles when I saw "I'm On A Mac" -- performed by the talented and funny team over at Switch To Mac. The video is a parody of Lonely Island's "I'm On A Boat" which you've probably heard in one form or another. In Switch To Mac's version, instead of boats being the prized possession, it i...
  • Comcast movie description writers don’t leave any stone uncovered, truth untold.
    by Mike
    Posted December 11th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
It used to be that Comcast was one of my least favorite if not most hated media providers. When they first started enacting the 250GB cap on monthly internet, I decided that was the last straw. Funny how time changes things isn't it? For now, Comcast looks pretty mild in comparison to other ISP's in particular who are pushing much stricter monthly bandwidths, some barely making it into the double digit range. If there were ever anything that would make me like them again, enough to actually ...
  • Scale Mat: Wipe your feet on the dried up tears of previous overweight visitors.

Want to really get underneath someone's skin in a way mere words simply can't obtain? Talk about someone's weight. Most people hate that. Am I advocating it? No. It's just not nice to make fun of them or criticize them. But advocating something as clever and funny as a door mat that doubles as a scale is funny. Next time your friends/family come over, walk do the door and pause for a moment, listening to see if they notice the Doormat Scale and if they then realize how much pressure they ...
  • The xPhone will decimate all mobile devices! [Video]
    by Mike
    Posted December 9th, 2009 at 9:14 am
Having as many things as you can think of crammed into one device seems like a gift from above. But often times, such gadgets often suffer from "jack of all trades, master of none" syndrome in that no single feature stands out for being amazing. A phone stuffed with a bajillion mediocre features is far from exciting and in fact quite frustrating and disappointing. Thankfully we can always dream about the "xPhone" -- a do it all, no compromises mobile device that fits everything inside. Hell,...
  • F your smartphone. No really! [iPhone Art]

    Posted November 24th, 2009 at 1:54 pm
We could try all day to express our feelings of anger, disgust, and outright hate by "talking it out" or using other means. But why do all of that nonsense when a simple "fuck" is all that is really needed? Think you have it bad for that smartphone of yours? The owner of this iPhone obviously had some anger problems. It isn't so bad though. Instead of punching kittens and killing fish he decided to go the verbal route and use one of the most versatile and colorful words contained within the...
  • Looking for ways to tweet? Mount a coffee cup to your car roof…
    by Mike
    Posted November 19th, 2009 at 5:13 pm
I don't know about you, but when I see a clever usage of Twitter whether it's a tweeting beer keg or a tweeting cat, I find myself smiling and realizing the overall joys in life are small, nerdy, and just plain innovative. Innovative isn't what some would call "GitEmSteveDave's" crazy Coffee-on-a-car contraption with other honorable mentions being "dumb", "stupid", "retarded", etc. I have a sense of humor and practice using it every day. It appears Steve has one too as the picture above shows...
  • Are you a double amputee with a good sense of humor? If so, someone on Craigslist would like to have a word with you…

Physical deformations are never something to joke about. That is unless the person featuring the unfortunate deformation has fun with it themselves. If you've ever gone to an actual Halloween costume party, you know, one where the attendees actually get into and go over the top, you may have seen a full fledged Chewbacca costume with or without the standard C3PO parts strapped to his back. For one man in Austin, Texas, "spare parts" and the illusion of reality aren't good enough. No sir. He...
  • With every poorly constructed instructional video comes an epic parody — Thank you Microsoft
    by Mike
    Posted September 24th, 2009 at 7:19 am
We all like a good joke. A good parody video making fun of someone else's short comings. What could make you laugh? A skateboarding dog? Fat chick on a bike falling off? Or how about an attempt by Microsoft to drum up interest in Win7? In all reality, the last option wouldn't be "laughing" funny. Instead, it would be more like good god this is horrible I want to hang myself funny. However, in our lives we need a good hearty chuckle. Naturally, a loyal Mac user took some time out of his ...
  • Is “PC World” a new Macworld competitor?
    by Mike
    Posted August 28th, 2009 at 7:50 am
Now I know PC World is not turning anytime soon. They started as a PC oriented magazine many years ago and to this day still are for the most part. Though a website with "PC" in the title and one that has had such a high focus on PC's and Windows related content declaring OS X 10.6 as the "brainiest, brawniest, and most beautiful consumer-oriented OS available anywhere" brings a chuckle to my lips. Even though Windows 7 isn't publicly available in final form yet, anyone that's a geek, espec...
  • The funniest iPhone commercial you’ll ever see. Period.
    by Mike
    Posted August 26th, 2009 at 5:19 pm
While I use an iPhone, the honeymoon phase is long gone. While the OS is still my favorite in terms of speed, ease of use, and eye candy, the hardware, BS policies of both Apple and AT&T;, and god awful coverage where I live mean I'm looking elsewhere. Still, I more or less like the little guy. Some of you however are sick and tired of hearing about Apple this and iPhone that. You wish they'd both drop of the face of the planet in a fiery ball of death. The day you can wake up, go through...
  • Sears now selling hi tech baby part roaster?
    by Mike
    Posted August 20th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
From the department of "someone's getting fired", either Sears has a sick sense of humor....or they have a sick sense of humor. Still, the mentally lacking side of my brain still manages to conjure up a small chuckle from within. Perhaps Apple and Sears can do a combo sale of Baby Shaker/Grill? Am I chuckling alone? If you want to check it out for yourself, it's currently listed under "Human Cooking > Grills to Cook Babies and More > Body Part Roaster." **UpdateWell that was quick....
  • Microsoft’s new “Bing” search engine already diseased?
    by Mike
    Posted May 29th, 2009 at 7:41 am
While Microsoft's Bing search engine still isn't fully live, I had some time to think about what Bing really meant. Just look at it. It doesn't look or even sound like it originated from the English language. So where did it come from? According to the Chinese language, "bing" means "disease". Awesome! Isn't it amusing when companies pick these obscure names they hope will stand out and stick in your mind but don't do any/very little background research on the name in question? I for on...
