  • You would think Tom Cruise would have enough money for a MacBook

So it looks like thieves rappelled down into a Best Buy from a hole they cut into the roof. With not one alarm or motion sensor being set off during the entire heist, it leaves law enforcements stunned at the "High level of sophistication." The stealth team of *amazing* burglars used a saw to cut through the rubber and metal of the roof, rappelled down to where the Apple products were being stored, grabbed around 20, without touching the ground, concealed by numerous banners from all security c...
  • Liquid cooling come to future iMacs, Macs in general? Eh…don’t get too excited…yet.

As Apple transitions more towards actual desktop processors in the iMac line, heat is going to be an issue. The next logical step would be to add water cooling. But such setups take up pretty generous amounts of room -- something the iMac doesn't really have much of. But when there's a will, there's a way. A patent filed way back in '06 showed Apple to be working on a type of iMac water cooled dock. While a dock and an actual iMac implementation are two completely different things, as proce...

LEGO's just not your thing? Well then, the LEGO Macbook Logo holder we mentioned yesterday isn't exactly "up your alley" now is it? Not everyone likes LEGO's. It's ok. But those looking to add a little custom visual candy to their Macbook's and Macbook Pro's still have hope. Kickin' it old school on new age tech is always a cool blending of old and new. In the case of the Pac-Man decal above, the Apple logo on the back of the 'book yet again is cleverly aligned with the decal making these ...

Say that one ten times fast. As Mac's become more widespread and more popular, seeing someone sitting across form you with that glowing white label just isn't what it used to be. But you don't have to blend in with everyone else. Many who join club Mac may be hip, but only a few are true geeks. So why not show it with the Macbook Lego Logo Holder decal. Featuring a nifty little LEGO guy with a perfectly formed club hand holding your Apple logo out back. Hi-tech it is not. Cool -- very mu...

Where to start. I guess we'll lead of with the smallest and work our way up. Magic Mouse First on the line, the new Magic Mouse brings multi-touch/gesture to the mouse world. Operation is as one would expect, 2 finger swipes and pinches do all sorts of panning, zooming, and moving actions on your screen. The Mighty Mouse isn't so mighty anymore (was it ever?) Macbook The bargain basement Macbook, once $999, is still....$999. What happened to "newer" and "cheaper" products? To be fai...

So you want to jump into the world of Apple Laptops but aren't quite feeling ready to drop $1500+?  No worries, it appears that Apple has upgraded the low end MacBook to almost identical specs as the unibody, (save for DDR3 RAM).  The $999 MacBook comes with a 2GHz processor with a 1066MHz FSB and the new Nvidia 9400M chipset and bluetooth 2.1.  Big upgrades over what was previously there.  What isn't clear is if you can add in 3rd party DDR3 RAM of your own to further sweeten the deal. ...
