Futurama may or may not be a "geek" thing. LEGOs however, are! And when there's LEGOs in vast numbers, you know something nerdy is in play. Speaking of nerdy, Matt De Lanoy is a massive nerd, creating this 5' x 7' LEGO-fied version of Futurama. Initially, Matt started with just a few structures and characters. Obviously he got sucked in. The rest as they say, is history.
There's nothing you can't build with LEGOs. Check out more of Matt's creation on his Flickr page or jump on in for a...

Before you get too excited, we must mention that these are renderings and not actual buildings. Bummer, I know. How cool would it be to tell your friends you live in a giant NES? You'd be the envy of geeks everywhere.

Can’t find the right computer case? Turn that empty desk draw/cabinet into something suitable. [Mod]

There have been plenty of computer case mods that mimic desks or are built straight into desks entirely. This particular computer case/computer desk mod by Overclock.net forum member "MoonPig" just so happens to be one of the neater and cleaner mods that have drifted by my eyes. Inside the inconspicuous looking desk, the usual assortment of computer parts and wiring is visible. The real part that gets me however is the view from above -- a nice, big skylight to look down onto all the PC geeke...

Modders, hackers, geeks, and nerds. We're all creative in our own ways when it comes to gadgets and electronics. But there are so many other ways we can show off and build things that aren't exactly electrical in nature yet still have strong cues to the geek culture we so thoroughly enjoy. So how exactly do you "branch out" into other areas? By making geeky furniture of course (or in this case, having your girlfriend make it). First off, a g/f that is a serious gaming nut -- hook, line, and...
Run OS X 10.3 (albeit painfully slow) on a Nokia N900!

OS X 10.3 + Nokia N900 = All kinds of geeky smiles. I know that mobile phones are gaining power and versatility by the day, but damn! Have you ever seen such a "modern" OS running on such a mobile device? Then again, if you call a 90+ minute boot-up time "modern" or "fast", you deserve to be drop kicked in the face.
Moving on...the heroics of this feat come from the land of Finland, by a man who goes by the name of " Toni Nikkanen". Actually spending the time to get all of this digital ...
Star Trek webcam reeks of geek.

You could be like millions of other ordinary people on this planet and use the boring, no doubt crappy, and simply uncool webcam that came with your computer. Of course, if you really care about your nerdy reputation you could go "all out" and make use of the Star Trek Webcam.
Said cam features a nifty spiraling base that almost defies gravity and physics itself, giving the optics inside an optimal angle to capture your smiling face. It's cool. It's nerdy. It's cheap. I don't think most ...

Have an idea for the zaniest gadget/tech inspired custom work of art of all time? I hope you have some creative chops because the designer and creator of the Motherboard Mona Lisa is a genius. Who created such a wondrous work of art? It hasn't been pin pointed on any one person, though you can gaze upon this site worth beholding at ASUS in Peitou, Taiwan. (Up for a little road trip?) Ya, geek art just got taken to a whole 'nother level.

Rest your cheeks upon the Tetris Chair…

Oh how I'd love to put my rear end on a piece of gaming history. Such thoughts I've had many a time, often dreaming of ways to transform my nerdy ways into more physical objects. Helping me on this never ending quest is the Tetris Chair. Killing two birds with one stone if you will, my thoughts are turning into physical objects and I'm turning my humble abode into a geek cave. The chair was designed by Gabriel Cañas and is so far a one-off. (read: not for sale...yet). I surely hope Garb...

Here at Gadgetsteria, we've often highlighted some of the fashion forward and innovative gadgets, gizmos, and all around geeky things that Yenko Design has shown off. The only let down was that often times, the things we saw were so mind enveloping that upon finding out they're nothing more than a concept with no near-term release we questioned our very existence on earth. Well, ok maybe not that extreme. But you get the point. It's disheartening stumbling upon that thing you've been looking...

Stocking stuffers and other small gifts can sometimes be difficult to choose. Why waste countless hours or days on finding a gift that in all reality isn't even worth that much? The nerds, more importantly graphic nerds of your life have a new easy solution -- the Photoshop fridge magnet. While you can't really do anything with the various color pallets and templates, the eye candy alone will keep you occupied for at least a few seconds. Not to mention, anyone who comes to your humble abod...
