  • AT&T resorts to “spamming” your Blackberry homescreen with unwanted crap/bloatware
    by Mike
    Posted April 21st, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Besides having one of the less then super Customer Service ratings as well as a beyond crappy tiered broadband planned roll out, add spammer to AT&T's list of not so great business tactics.  Spamming you say?  Would you prefer "bloatware", a term typically used to describe the extreme excess amount of useless trial apps that litter many new PC's?  Either way it isn't good.  Generally to make a few extra dollars, wireless carriers will sign deals with certain developers or mobile soft...

Look at the cellphone/smartphone/mobile device you are carrying around with you.  Take a second to think about every feature that it has and what it can do.  We take many mundane, simple features for granted every day such as MMS, Bluetooth, and now even WiFi and 3G.  Such features just a few short years ago were seen as "big ticket" items that many were willing to pay dearly for.  With each new revolution or advancement in mobile technology comes with it the attention of the devout few ...

    Posted February 13th, 2009 at 6:21 am
Who doesn't love a product leak to start off their morning right?  As you can see from the image above, the Touch Diamond is coming.  Which isn't a big surprise as we knew it was coming.  However, the LG 9600 is something to talk about as it brings something new to the table...a removable keyboard.  That's right, don't like the keyboard?  Fine.  Rip that sucker off and go about on your soft keyboard tappin' ways.  Next up on this mornings leak is a rarity.  The Nokia Intrigue is one ...
  • Did Apple ask Google not to implement multi-touch in Android?
    by Mike
    Posted February 10th, 2009 at 10:03 am
According to Macrumors and VentureBeat, the answer is "Yes".  An unidentified Android employee claims that Apple specifically asked Google not to implement "multi-touch" in Android.  The reason that multi-touch was actually left out is that Google wants to keep their relationship with Apple on good grounds, unlike the ongoing war of words between Palm and Apple over the Pre's use of multi-touch.  This is ridiculousif it turns out to be true.  I understand patenting a whole new way of inp...

    by Mike
    Posted February 6th, 2009 at 9:53 pm
When  you hear the name Palm you don't exactly think of bleeding edge design (until the Pre was announced anyway).  However, Palm has a knack for picking up former Apple employees.  The latest captive is Chuq von Rospach, a former 17 year veteran at the big fruit company!  Today, Chuq announced on his blog that he had taken on a new role at Palm as "Developer Community Manager".  Spiffy.  So what exactly does a Developer Community Manager do?  Basically he hangs around the develop...
