Remember that Facebook app update for iPhone that I talked about what seems like months ago now (a month and a half actually)? The Facebook team has been hard at work and finally had something to say via Twitter. The new app is "pretty much done" and all they are working on now is translating the app into the various languages needed. Social networking and the associated sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc. have become a staple in many peoples' lives so much so that they want constant access to said content while on the go. For over a year now, BlackBerries and iPhone's have enjoyed two of the nicest Facebook apps released to the world. The craze over real-time news and search is about to heat up. While Google does in fact get pretty instantaneous updates on many items and topics, Microsoft's Bing is hitting the ground running and not letting up. The Bing Team is rolling out a new feature that incorporates Tweets into the search results. "Oh great, ten majillion pages full of erroneous results". Facebook has become one of the most addicting and used social networking app this past year. Naturally, a platform as popular and now widespread as the iPhone/mobile OS X combo has cemented mobile internet use in today's fabric of life for people of all ages.
