Microsoft: Designed to fail in the mobile market
Thursday, September 17, 2009 12:04 No CommentsSay what you will about Microsoft and their mobile market line. One can’t ignore that they are heading no where fast. Perhaps it would be good to start with the good — the Xbox and Zune HD products. While the Xbox isn’t a mobile product per se, it is by far one of their most popular consumer oriented devices. The second most popular I would wager is the Zune HD. Featuring reworked hardware, software, and all around better fit and finish, the Zune HD looks like a pretty decent winner on paper until you consider one big fact: There is no public accessible app store. Further complicating matters, a Zune app store is being held up by the ugly step child Windows Mobile. Does Microsoft have any clear path in the mobile market?

Skyfire for WinMo/Symbian leaves beta - Blackberry “Coming Soon”
Wednesday, May 27, 2009 8:40 No CommentsThe mobile web is chock full of explosive growth both from users and well as content publishers, advitisers, and so on. Symbian S60 finds its way onto Samsung i9810
Friday, February 6, 2009 23:19 2 CommentsIn what is certainly a strange turn revelation, the Samsung i9810 that was leaked yesterday is already making rounds at Daily Mobile as they have managed to get their hands on a Samsung i9810 running Symbian S60! Why they choose S60 over Android or WinMo is beyond me. (Not complaining at all, just honestly intrigued). [...]

Sunday, January 4, 2009 20:08 No CommentsA rather disturbing find (if your running a Symbian OS that is) is a bug in the Symbian OS that will cause your phone to stop receiving SMS messages. What causes it you ask? According to an article posted on Mobile Whack on the subject says the bug “activates” when a message is composed consisting [...]
