  • Motorola Milestone (Sholes) comes to AT&T via Telus

Wetting your pants in excitement that AT&T; is finally, finally getting on board with Android? Sorry to say that your little accident was for naught as AT&T; is still stiff arming Google's baby. Why? Well there's many reasons why. (1) They don't care about all of this "openness" crap. (2) Don't want to harm exclusive agreements with Apple. Or (3), they're just plain stupid. My vote's for three, but this entire issue is best reserved for another article. Don't go just yet. I wasn't lying...

An oft rumored Apple tablet has so far failed to materialize. I'm pretty confident Apple is close to releasing one however. Call it a gut feeling. Meanwhile, this whole waiting thing and constantly not knowing can wear down on your nerves. A rather surprising solution has come from a very surprising manufacturer -- Nvidia. The tablet pictured above instantly reminds me of some of those CrunchPad renders. Whether or not we'll ever see that device is still up in the air. This mystery device...
  • 3 UK officially announces HTC Hero/Spotify 2-year premium access bundle.

If you recall, earlier last month we mentioned that a new UK based cellular carrier "3", was set to offer quite the bundle for the mobile music streamer in conjunction with Android and the HTC Hero. At that time, the deal hadn't been officially announced by anyone, however splash pages and documentation of the deal were available for many to see giving this "rumor" a legitimate footing. Today 3 UK has come forth via their online blog officially announcing the deal to all. In case you forgot, ...
  • Saygus V1/VPhone another VZW bound Android phone?

Android is quickly rocketing ahead in popularity with end users, manufacturers, and carriers alike. Verizon is set to release their first Android device, the DROID, tomorrow. The Eris while not nearly as hyped as the DROID appears to be dropping at the same time. So right off the bat, two Android phones. One to cover the high end and one to cover the low end. The Motorola Calgary has been spied in near final form and while it has ok specs, is's obvious the market is the tweener market. (Rea...

If you thought the Chinese manufacturer Huawei was making a one hit wonder with the T-Mobile Pulse, think again as they've announced plans to continue Android development by releasing more devices featuring the quickly growing mobile OS. Within the next 6 months, Britain can expect to see "several more" Android handsets released, according to a company spokesman. While it's wrong to offer up such information and then stop there and leave you hanging, yearning for more, it's all anyone has ri...
  • Acer Liquid’s Snapdragon CPU downclocked to just 768MHz
    by Mike
    Posted November 2nd, 2009 at 12:35 pm
Ready for a midday round of disappointment coupled with a dash of optimism? The Acer Liquid was to be a Snapdragon powered beast of a mobile device. For those with already wondering minds, be at ease as the Liquid is still coming and with a Snapdrgaon proc to boot. There's only one problem. Acer is downclocking the CPU to 768MHz. Granted, that's faster than most phones out there today and just 6 months ago would have garnered a slew of "ZOMG's". However, in today's world with 1GHz/Snapdr...

Motorola here in the states is enjoying a building hype as the Droid launch approaches. Now just 4 days away, many smartphone users are salivating at the awesomeness that awaits them. An early review of a pre-release Milestone by Mobile-Review's Eldar Murtazin sheds light on a happy/sad moment for Milestone hopefuls. In lieu of the fact that it's a Monday morning, I'll start with the "giveth". Giveth: The Motorola Milestone will feature multi-touch support in it's final build of Android 2.0....

Oh German readers, today is your day. Well, not literally in the sense you'll get any physical gratification, but you'll at least get hope for near future gratification. The Motorola Droid which is far and wide the most anticipated Android phone to date is mere days from a U.S. release. Lucky for Android fans across the pond in Deutschland, they too will soon be experiencing what this Android hype is all about as internal O2 documents showing a rebranded Motorola Droid as the "Milestone" have...
  • Motorola: It’s not the quantity. It’s the quality

Choosing a new smartphone in the current market is quite the challenge. You have the iPhone, a number of Android devices, the Palm Pre, countless WinMo units, and very, very soon the Droid. If you know a little something about the industry, you probably already know the most obvious differences between the devices, the manufacturers of said devices, and the environments those devices and manufacturers live in. What exactly do I mean? Look at the iPhone and Apple. They're pumping out one mod...
  • HTC Eris struts it’s stuff for the camera.

The Droid may be the big daddy of Verizon's lineup, but no everyone needs that much power. For those looking for a slightly simpler and more mid-range device, the HTC Eris looks to be your best bet. With a 5 megapixel camera (sans flash), good 'ol WiFi tucked inside for good measure, and an eye raising, wallet friendly price of $99 means a whole lot more people area bout to jump on board this Android train. Can't say I blame them. The Eris is actually a pretty compelling device. Look at all...
  • CMDA what? GSM Droid gets video shoot.

**Warning: If you're not a Michael Jackson fan, play this vid with mute'll quickly understand... Not to steal any thunder from CDMA/Verizon users and their new found Jesus Christ Digital Superstar (aka: The Moto Droid), but the GSM Droid steals my attention in the video above. If you're not quite sure you want to crawl into bed with Big Red for the next two years of your life, the video above should give you the needed eye candy and motivation to hold out just a little bit long...
