Those with Nexus One's, Motorola DROID's, Nokia N900's and so on like to walk around with their heads held high because they have some of the best displays in the mobile arena. There's nothing wrong with a little pride, is there? As technology progresses, the 800-ish x 400-ish resolution has now more or less become a loose standard to reach towards. For Vodafone users however, they will soon have something even better to brag about -- 1280 x 1024 supporting phones! It's been quite a few ye...
  • Vodafone and Verizon customers beware. Email virus with your name on it.
    by Mike
    Posted November 18th, 2009 at 4:03 pm
Vodafone and Verizon Wireless users have a new threat to watch out for in their inbox. A new virus claiming to be from either Vodafone or Verizon comes with a subject of "Your credit balance is over the limit". The danger comes by way of an attached virus that the email details as an "balance checker". Whatever you do, do not open it or run the attached program. Doing so invites in a nasty little Trojan with name of "Regrun" that hosts a nasty program flagged as "Mal/Zbot-P". It's extr...

If you run a business small or large and rely on any form of computer network to keep you up and running, experiencing a network outage can no doubt be a crushing blow to your budget. However, just because your traditional network goes down doesn't mean you can't stay connected. A joint partnership between Wireless Logic and Teldat is bringing the UK its first SIM-enabled wireless backup service. The service is basically a failsafe for your traditional hard line service in case of a failure. ...

Touchscreen lovers and physical button haters let your hair down (if you have it) and prepare for the digital party that is about to take place.  June 19th has been marked as the day for Nokia's flagship N97 to grace the mass public - that is if you are one of the many that make up the mass public in the UK who also happen to want a SIM-free N97. Those looking for bundled options will have to wait a tad longer for June 26th to roll around.  Have you been oh so desperately waiting for the mu...
  • 49 reasons to travel the world with the Blackberry Storm
    by Mike
    Posted April 25th, 2009 at 10:40 am
While I am not too particular on the Blackberry Storm myself (I don't really like the touchscreen on it), it is no doubt a monumental step for RIM. With the Storm, RIM entered a new market that was devoid of their signature feature, the keyboard. While the whole click screen wasn't my favorite, their are many people who have fallen in love with the combination of the whole touch and "clicking" idea. Because of the Storm's obvious focus on the touchscreen, it has time and time again been com...

  • HTC Magic (Android G2) coming to Vodafone in April
    by Mike
    Posted March 4th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
The G1 while not the most asthetically pleasing device to the eye was a big first step for Google, Android, and HTC.  The HTC Magic (also known as the G2), is a follow up device looking to improve on a few of the falling points of the G1.  Sadly, as of right now, Vodafone will be the only person to have the device at first.  Though, it will of course spread to other carriers.  For a quick *lengthy* recap of the Magic's features, step inside and fill your brain. Mobile web browsing until recently was a painfully slow and ugly experience.  Web pages, if they ever did finish loading before you got completely bored of twirling your fingers often rendered so poorly it wasn't worth the time to try and navigate the broken up pages.  Today at MWC, Vodafone announced a new partnership that they have forged with Opera Mobile.  The fruits of the partnership will come in the form of a customized browser modeled around Opera Mini that Voda will start impleme...
