  • Sony Xperia X2 slips further into irrelevance…

Last year, Sony had quite a hot cake on their hands. The Xperia X2 looked to be rather nice upgrade to current X1 owners as well as a pretty sweet device for new SE users. Then thinks got all messed up with a delay. Sony at the time blamed bugs in the software as well as wanting to optimize battery life further. Perhaps those are the same reasons behind a second deadline coming....and going without nary a release or even a word as to why. Delays aren't something new in the tech field....
  • Xperia X10 AT&T and T-Mobile bound?

Boy how I love a freshly leaked spec sheet for lusted after gadgets. Today's gadget-o-love spec sheet pays homage to the Sony Xperia X10. While the hardware itself and overall skin of the UI are simply gorgeous, the Android 1.6 underpinnings aren't exactly the first choice for most. Android 2.0 or even 2.1 would be much more deserving for such a gorgeous device. But I digress. Personal inhibitions aside, a spec sheet showing off everything that resides under the X10's hood sheds light on so...

The Sony Xperia X3 is so far my favorite device leading into the end of the year. While the X1 and X2 were pretty sweet devices, the fact that it was running WinMo pretty much killed it for me. However, with Android and a tweaked UI dubbed "Rachel" coming on the X3, this latest Sony device has got my attention front and center. Hmm, now about that X3 moniker, well, not even a couple a days ago, the X3 became the X10. Why skip so many numbers? No idea. Not exactly sure what kool-aid Sony is...
  • Xperia X3 to pack the fastest version of Android yet?

Speed freaks looking forward to an Android device that can be used without lag from such simple things as swiping between homescreens, fresh rumors cropping up surrounding the upcoming Xperia X3 are quite the head turner. The monstrous 4-inch 852 x 480 touchscreen may be enough for some. Even the 8 megapixel camera will seal the deal for many more naysayers. But the real proof in the pudding is the reported usage of the highly sought after Snapdragon processor. Said processor is better than ...

One of the most lusted after Android handsets on many Android fans' lists is that of the Sony Xperia X3. While the X2 is still brand spanking new and not even available yet, the X3 brings in a much nicer looking and functional Android core, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and that much hyped "Rachel UI" that have many second guessing their current phone of choice. So far, the unverified specs for the X3 include: 4" WVGA display 1GHz Snapdragon processor Android Donut 8.1 megapixel camera w/ L...

  • Sony’s Xperia X1 getting 4 new panels
    by Mike
    Posted February 17th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
And we're not talking flanel panels either.  These are high quality all digital panels.  Woo hoo!  Complete and utter ridiculous non-sense aside, the 4 new panels will consist of: CNN, Skype, Mytopia, and "On-the-road".  Of course with the CNN panel you will be getting the latest in news coverage including everything form sports to weather.  The popular "civillian journalism tool" i-Report will also be included so little 'ol you can be the big journalist you've always wanted to be.  Th...

Are you feeling lucky, did you check your horoscope, pray to whoever it is you pray to (or don't), and count your lucky stars?  That is just about what it will take to get a Sony Xperia X1 right now in the states.  WM experts happened to follow the above advice and got lucky at the Sony Style store in California where they are covering Macworld tomorrow.  They decided to stop inside and inquire on if they had an X1's for sale.  The salesman replied: "We had them before but they took the...
