Motorola Wins Injunction Against Microsoft In Germany. Windows 7, Media Player, IE, And Xbox On The Line

Microsoft’s previous shuffling of logistics center workers out of
country to the Netherlands because of the ongoing patent lawsuit with
Motorola got a little more concrete today. The court overseeing the
patent battle has ruled in Motorola’s favor, saying that Microsoft
infringes on Motorola’s IP, specifically one patent relating to the
h.264 codec. While Motorola can’t begin enforcing the ruling yet due
to their own anti-trust investigation(s), it is a potential sign of
things to come.

The impending conjunction will affect the distribution of Windows 7,
Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player and the Xbox 360.

Once again, incessant courtroom/schoolyard fighting is wasting
millions of companies’ dollars. Just brilliant.
