So Samsung announced their (yawner) Galaxy S III. That’s great and all. But Lg had their own announcement. And it’s far better.
The Optimus LTE 2 is a powerhouse with a “True HD” IPS display, dual-core processor (almost certainly a Qualcomm S4), and 2 GB of RAM. Android 4.x and a 2,150 mAh battery tag along too.
We have to say. We’re glad Android manufacturers are finally getting their heads out of the sand and putting some respectable batteries in their phones. In 2012, the power inside of these mobile computers means anything less than 2,000 mAh is a waste of time and frankly insulting. In regards to the Optimus LTE 2, LG says the added mAh will allow roughly 40% longer run time than the first-gen Optimus LTE.
The three major Korean carriers are slated to get the Optimus LTE 2 in mid-May. No official word yet on when European or U.S residents can join in on the fun.
